Academics call terrorism and sectarian violence against Islam in the name of religion

 

At the Wahdat-e-Ummah Conference held in the Presidency, academics from different schools of thought have described terrorism, extremism, sectarian violence and killings in the name of religion as non-Islamic.


The Wahdat Ummah Conference was held in Islamabad with the participation of scholars and Shaykhs belonging to different schools of thought. The aim of the conference was to promote unity among Muslims and curb sectarianism.

President Arif Alawi in his presidential speech said that to become a nation, division must be avoided. Allah has declared in the Qur'an that what is called unbelief cannot be decided and cannot be said.


He said that emotional statements by some leaders increase hatred and differences based on ignorance lead to divisions. In the past, Iran and Iraq fought each other, a million people died in the Iran-Iraq war. And it destroyed Syria.


The president said the practice of declaring each other infidels should be avoided. Mecca and Medina are the centers of unity of the Ummah. Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken an unequivocal position against hatred against Islam and protection of the honor of the Holy Prophet.


Scholars and Shaykhs belonging to different schools of thought also addressed the occasion.


Ulema's indifference towards those who insult the Ahlul Bayt

At the end of the conference, a statement was issued in which all the Ulema disassociated themselves from the speaker, Khatib, Zakaria Waiz who insulted the Ahlul Bayt and said that no speaker would insult the Companions, the Righteous Caliphs and the wives of the Saint. Prophet. He also sued legal action against him.

The statement said that terrorism in the name of religion, extremism, sectarian violence, murder and vandalism are against Islam, all schools of thought declare not to align with terrorism in the name of religion.


According to the statement, no Islamic sect should be declared kafir and no Muslim or non-Muslim should be declared extrajudicially executed without the publication, distribution and distribution of offensive and heartbreaking books, pamphlets and writings.


The statement also said that only fatwas issued in light of the Quran and Sunnah would be valid.
