Shehzad Akbar, Minister of the Interior and IG Islamabad summoned by missing persons and increased crime


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) summoned Mirza Shehzad Akbar, Interior Advisor to the Prime Minister, Interior Minister, Chief Commissioner and IG Islamabad on September 21 on the increasing incidence of missing persons and crimes in the federal capital Islamabad.


Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the disappearance case of Sajid Gondal, Deputy Director of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).


On this occasion, the Additional Attorney General said that the Federal Cabinet took cognizance of the matter on the second day of the court order. Sajid Gondal has returned after recovering.


On this, Chief Justice Athar Minallah commented that what happened to Sajid Gondal? Is the case over when the missing citizen returns? The Minister of the Interior himself should have gone to court and stated what steps he had taken to recover the missing person.


Chief Justice Athar Minallah said that the prime minister is credited with taking note of the matter, the rest of the cases must also be reported by the prime minister, the report presented by IG police is shocking, the first Minister must know that what is happening to ordinary citizens? People no longer trust the police station system.


Addressing the representative of the Ministry of the Interior, the Chief Justice said: "You know that there have been robberies in the houses of the people in F-8 and F-10. If you have any advisers in the ministry, please inform the Prime Minister about it. what's happening in Islamabad.. "It is.


The Chief Justice said that in this regard, a complete record should be delivered to the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Home Affairs who will appear and attend this court.

Judge Athar Minallah also said that if there were civilians in the dispute in the red zone, would the police let them go? The Prime Minister must know what is happening to ordinary citizens.


It should be recalled that on September 3, Sajid Gondal, Deputy Director of the Pakistan Securities and Exchange Commission, disappeared from the federal capital, Islamabad. His vehicle was found parked near the Shehzad City Agricultural Research Center.


In a statement posted on social media on September 8, Sajid Gondal had said that he was back and safe.
