Sui Southern feared a massive gas shortage in the winter

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has raised fears of a massive gas shortage in the winter.

According to a statement from Sui Southern, there will be a gas shortage of 300 million cubic feet or 25 percent in the winter and the situation will get more complicated.

Sui Southern Gas Company says it has informed K Electric and other interested parties.

The statement said that, at present, the low pressure gas complaint is likely to disappear in a few days.

It should be recalled that due to the gas shortage in Karachi, domestic consumers and industries are facing serious difficulties and the production process in industrial zones has been severely affected.

The gas shortage has also reduced the power generation of the Karachi electricity supplier, leading to a further increase in load shedding.

Earlier, Federal Energy Minister Omar Ayub Khan had also expressed concern about the severe gas crisis in winter.

According to the sources, the production of the old gas fields has decreased and the volume of gas reduction in the Sui Southern system has increased from 100 to 150 million cubic feet, the effects of which are beginning to be felt and the gas shortage is expected increase this winter. ۔
