The federal government mobilized to block former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's speech at the all-opposition party conference.
Yesterday, the president of the PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, had invited him to a virtual participation in the APC to be held in Islamabad on the 20th, which he accepted.
Now, the federal government has also come to the fore on this issue and is considering legal proceedings to block Nawaz Sharif's leadership in the APC.
Shahbaz Gul, special assistant to the prime minister for Political Relations, said in a statement on social media that if Nawaz Sharif addressed the APC and his address was passed on, PEMRA and other legal options would be used.
Shahbaz Gul also said how is it possible for a fugitive criminal to engage in political activities and make speeches.
He said that the Sharif family cannot tell anything but lies, they are so many liars that they even lie about the disease.
It should be remembered that Nawaz Sharif was transferred from prison to hospital in October last year due to health problems, but when his condition worsened, the government allowed him to go abroad for treatment in November, where he is still present.
